Permanent wear CBRN/F Protective Suit - S.W.A.T. model

The N.R.B.C./F protective suit model S.W.A.T. was designed based on the developments made by Paul Boyé in the field of N.R.B.C. military protection. The S.W.A.T. overall provides an excellent level of protection against warfare chemical toxic agents. During an intervention, the wearer benefits from a high degree of comfort for periods which can go up to 24 hours in contaminated environment.

The equipment includes the following :

  • an CBRN/F overall
  • an CBRN tactical jacket
  • a breathing support system
  • two CBRN filtering canisters
  • an CBRN gas mask
  • CBRN New Generation Gloves
  • CBRN socks
  • a transport bag

THE TACTICAL JACKET

In an CBRN environment, the tactical jacket is designed to carry all the equipment necessary for an intervention by Law and Order Forces (ammunition,
communication instruments,...). An CBRN breathing support system is attached to the back of the jaket and connected to the gas mask. In the event of an CBRN threat, the jacket allows easy access to the gas mask which insures immediat respiratory protection.

THE GAS MASK

The A.R.F.A. (Army Filtering Breathing Apparatus), is a new generation of CBRNprotective masks. Its new concept and ensures total safety thanks to its very high airtightness level and its availability in four size allowing a perfect fit to all face types. The masks features and outstanding a very wide panoramic view, ergonomic properties providing comfortable wear over a period longer than 24 hours, numerous interfaces and accessories allowing the use of the mask in various operationnel conditions (microphone fitting, optical insert,
drinking device...). The mask and the canister are airtight over 5.10 -5 to aerosols of 0,15 µm.

THE FILTERING CANISTER

The filtering canister CF A2B2E2K2P3/CBRN is a personnal protective equipment which can be used : against : toxic gases and vapours of a boiling point higher than 65°C; organic gases and vapours such as sulphur-dioxide, ammoniac and amino-acid by - products;

chemical toxics has defined in CBRN military threat. The main components, active charcoal and particles, were selected to meet the requirements of class 2 of the standard EN 141 and of CBRN french military canisters.
Breathing resistance : at 30 l/min, below 200 Pa - at 95 l/min, below 750 Pa.

BREATHING SUPPORT SYSTEME

This equipment is designed to dispense filtered air to the wearer of the gas mask in a contaminated environment. It can be fitted with all filtering canisters(according to EN standards and STANAG 4155). Three flux rates are available depending on the position of the switch : 70 l/min - 90 l/min - from 450 Pa to 735 Pa.
Functions with lithium batteries : NSN 6135-99-798-9851.
Battery autonomy : 8 to 14 hours.
In use in the American Army.

G.N.G. GLOVES

The new Generation Gloves (GNG) follow the same concept of filtering as the NBN protective suit. It is composed of an outer layer and a filtering foam. The outer layer of the glove is mixed : it has a water and oil resistant treated leather patch in the palm of the hand and the rest is made of a fabric which is also water and oil repellent. The filtering complex is made of polyurethane foam impregnated with activated charcoal.

This bi-component glove is sewn enabling both tactile perception and breathability. The permeable fabric is used where the thermal activities are highest (on the top of the hand). The leather, which is impermeable and mechanically highly resistant, has the important property of transmissing tactile information and the ribbing gives a better dexterity. For the first time, a thin CBRN protective glove has been made with outer and inner layers assembled together at wrist level to form only one glove.

Patented Model

N.R.B.C. PROTECTIVE SOCKS

The CBRN protective socks have been developed by Paul Boyé to provide optimal comfort and maximum protection for the wearer.
They are made of a filtering complex identical to the one used for CBRN protective suits, T.O.M. model. CBRN socks are worn with combat type shoes such as Rangers, allowing the wearer to maintain an excellent mobility.
The assembly techniques used provide the best comfort possible while reducing fabric overlapping and thus avoiding any foot injury due to friction. The user can keep the same Rangers shoe size.

TRANSPORT BAG

This bag is designed to carry the complete S.W.A.T. equipment. All its component parts fit easily into their allocated compartments.
