CBRN- LightWeight Decontamination
and Protective Suit
The CBRN Lightweight Decontamination and Protective Suit or "LDS"
(Tenue Légère de Décontamination or TLD) has been
developed to meet the needs of military forces involved in decontamination
operations or reconnaissance missions.
This
suit can also be used in numerous applications such as in the field of
Civil Defence (for firemen, police forces, emergency rescue teams, etc.),
for people working in contaminated surroundings, chemical disaster areas
or in industrial environments with chemical risks.
The
LDS complex (3TOX") is made from a non-woven support covered by a protective
complex which acts as a barrier against chemical toxics (liquid and gaseous),
biological agents and radiocative particles.
The LDS comes in
two versions: a two-piece suit (jacket and trousers) or a one-piece suit (overall).
Various options are on offer according to requirements: external shoulder pads
for use with a personal breathing apparatus ("appareil respiratoire individuel"
or A.R.I.).
All kinds of colours and special markings can be produced (see
above).
